The Man

Who is the Man behind the Magic ?
Adventurer, Scientist, Showman, Dreamer and Hero… There’s no one quite like Marco Tempest. His imaginative combination of computer-generated imagery, video, music and stagecraft with his unique vision of future life is creatively unique and unequalled within the performing arts. No one else combines the incredible technical savvy with the showmanship, the physical skills and the charisma of Tempest. With all that talent, it’s amazing that he seems to enjoy poking fun at himself, and all those marvelous toys! Marco gets a kick out of bending reality around the edges. Is that image IN the screen, or just in front of it?

The magician’s role is to be the one who makes dreams real first, before technology can get there…and so Tempest is always out there exploring new frontiers, one step ahead of the rest of us. It’s hard to tell if he’s on a fool’s journey…or that of a true hero. Perhaps it’s a bit of both.

It is one thing to be capable of mastering an age-old art, where generations have gone before, showing the way; but quite another to master an art that is being created and changed from moment to moment…making it up and mastering it as you go. This is a very special talent, given to few. Marco Tempest is one of those few.

Marco began performing at a very young age. By the time he was 22, he had captured the prestigious New York World Cup of Magic, launching him into international prominence. The amazing precision and imagination embodied in his work have always set him apart from the crowd. He seems to have an uncanny sense of what would be just right for a given situation…in a meeting, for a particular audience, in a particular setting. Always working to stay just a bit ahead of the curve himself, he has a particularly winning way of taking his audiences with him on his magical excursions into the land of tomorrow
