Marco Tempest kicked off the 10th Anniversary celebration of Japanese satellite broadcast giant Wowow with an explosive performance which began with the magical materialization of Virtual Marco from a thousand tiny particles of light. Light was a recurring theme as Marco manipulated, multiplied, teased, tossed, floated and exploded a myriad of different magical lights…producing giant logo graphics, various themed messages, and even Wowow’s president Shoji Sakuma, who, with a little help from Marco, generated his own special brand of magic. Tempest’s performance combined the power and drama of his signature “Pixel Grande” and the whimsical humor of “The Magic Touch,” to delight the crowd and maintain the celebratory mood. The theme was “creating the future,” and the assembled audience of television celebrities and top executives was treated to an amazing and upbeat spectacle of that future as only Marco Tempest can deliver! Wowow is the first private satellite broadcasting and pay TV station in Japan, which, ever since its commencement of broadcasting in April 1991 has always seen its role as that of; 1. A creator of moving experiences; 2. A pioneer of new businesses, and; 3. A challenger to bear the values and standards for new programing trends. The company name is a double "Wow!" -- an expression of wonder and amazement. These three W's also stand for "World-Wide-Watching," expressing Wowow’s commitment to bringing viewers fresh events and wonders from all over the world. Events just like that provided by Marco Tempest’s magic!
