Throughout the month of June, Marco will be seen in a special 15 second television commercial throughout Japan, promoting the US hit movie “the Prestige” as it is released in Japan. The idea for the commercial was conceived by Marco and recently greenlighted by GAGA (The film’s distributor is Japan), which is a part of USEN advertising agency. GAGA was so taken with the concept that they decided to have Marco be “the face” of the movie for its Japan advertising campaign. The commercial is part magic trick and part testimonial from Marco, whose tremendous and growing popularity in Japan lends it strong credibility with the Japanese audience. The commercial contains very little actual footage from the film and represents a revolutionary approach to film marketing. In addition to the actual commercial, GAGA commissioned Marco to produce a special 2 minute viral video: “The Making of the Prestige Commercial” for posting on Youtube, Livevideo and other popular viral video sites.
