Newmagic Team at AFM to cement NATPE gains

The Newmagic production team is headed to Los Angeles to the annual American Film Market, to solidify partnerships first established at last month’s NATPE in Las Vegas for Marco Tempest’s “The Virtual Magician” television series. It is unusual for telelvision projects to be of great interest at the Film Market, but nothing about this project is remotely usual, and Tempest’s work has always crossed lines – between live and video performance, between video and film, and even between the “real” and “cyber” worlds. The project’s showing at NATPE generated such interest in the industry that a follow up at the AFM to meet with various legal, financial, and distributor partners was a logical necessity. With over 300 motion picture companies and 7,000 film executives, the AFM assembles the largest gathering of the industry's most influential leaders.
